Post-Ceramic is a cross-disciplinary photography exhibition on ceramic materials. Starting from five ceramic techniques in Jingdezhen (marbling, blue and white porcelain, thin-bodied porcelain, famille rose, and kiln-transformed porcelain), we collaborated with five independent photographers and artists from Shanghai, inviting them to create works using the corresponding ceramic objects.

The planning for this exhibition project began with a trip to interview craftspeople in Jingdezhen. The entire curatorial theme focuses on ceramic materials and techniques, and attempts to reinterpret traditional ceramic craftsmanship through cross-disciplinary artistic expression, exploring how it can be presented in a contemporary visual context.
